After-market Movers For May 1 (FB, V, LVS, STX, YELP, REGI, SAM)

Gainers:

Visa Inc. (V) improved 2 percent to $169.60. The company's second quarter earnings declined from the year-ago quarter, but its adjusted earnings per share were above analysts' expectation. Total operating revenues rose 15 percent and topped the consensus estimate.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) gained 1 percent to $56.80. The company's first quarter earnings were higher than the prior year period and were above Wall Street view. Net revenue improved 19.5 percent and also topped the consensus estimate.

Seagate Technology (STX) rose 5 percent to $38.85. The company's third quarter profit plunged from the previous year period. Revenues also declined sharply, but managed to come above the consensus estimate. The company also approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.38 per share.

Yelp, Inc. (YELP) surged 10 percent to $27.80 . The company's first quarter net loss narrowed from the prior year period. Net revenue grew 68 percent and was above the consensus estimate. The company also project second quarter and full year of 2013 revenue above analysts' expectation.

Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REGI) surged over 17 percent to $11.66 following the release of its quarterly results.

Decliners:

Facebook, Inc. (FB) was down 0.11 percent to $27.40. The company's first quarter profit improved from the prior year period, but was below Wall Street view. Revenue for the quarter rose 38 percent and managed to come above the consensus estimate.

Trading halt:

Trading in shares of Boston Beer Co. Inc. (SAM) was halted. The company's first quarter earnings per share missed Wall Street view, while revenue topped analysts' prediction.
