Caesars Entertainment Corp. (CZR) reported a net loss for the first quarter of $217.6 million or $1.74 per share, narrower than $280.6 or $2.24 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
Revenues for the first quarter fell 2.9% to $2.14 billion from $2.21 billion in the year-ago period.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $1.58 per share on revenue of $2.19 billion for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
