SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (SNC.TO) Thursday reported first-quarter profit of C$53.6 million or C$0.35 per share, compared to C$66.3 million or C$0.44 per share in the same period last year.
Net income excluding ICI totaled C$18.59 million. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn C$0.51 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues increased 6.3 percent to C$1.9 billion from C$1.8 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of C$1.90 billion.
Revenue backlog for the quarter totaled C$10.2 billion, in line with last year.
