SunPower Corp. (SPWR) reported a net loss for the first quarter of $54.7 million or $0.46 per share, compard to a net loss of $74.5 million or $0.67 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the first quarter were $0.22 per share, compared to an adjusted loss of $0.12 per share in the prior year quarter.
Revenue for the first quarter rose to $635.4 million from $494.1 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.06 per share on revenue of $507.73 million for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
