Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD) reported first quarter adjusted EPS of $0.48 after the close Thursday, compared to $0.45 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.50.
Gilead Sciences gapped open higher Friday and has continued to gain ground in early trade. The stock is now up 3.48 at $55.66 and has broken out to a new high for the year.
