Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. (REGN) reported first quarter net income of $0.90 per share Friday morning, up from $0.11 per share in the prior year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.95. Revenues increased to $440 million, compared to $232 million last year. The consensus estimate was for revenues of $424.26 million.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals gapped up sharply Friday and climbed in early trade, before settling into a range. Shares finished with a gain of 17.53 at $266.16 on above average volume. The stock rose to a new high for the year.
