Arkansas Best Corp. (ABFS) announced that its ABF Freight System Inc. subsidiary has reached a tentative agreement with the Teamsters National Freight Industry Negotiating Committee on a 5-year labor contract.
Arkansas Best gapped open sharply higher Monday and climbed in early trade. Shares advanced further around midday and finished up by 4.18 at $14.73 on the highest volume of the year. The stock leaped to a new high for the year.
