Pegasystems Inc. (PEGA) reported net income for the first quarter of $9.1 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $4.1 million or $0.10 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the latest quarter were $13.0 million or $0.33 per share.
Revenue for the first quarter increased 5% to $116.25 million from $111.17 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.21 per share on revenue of $118.14 million for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
