Authorities in New York City have arrested a 35-year-old man after his mother was found dead from multiple stab wounds at her apartment in Queens, New York.
The New York Post reports that authorities responded to a call of a disorderly male in the vicinity of the residence on Monday and found that Sylvia Scott, 60, had been stabbed multiple times in her torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime in her eighth floor apartment at Rockaway Beach in Queens.
CBS News reports that Sylvia's son, Lonnie Scott, was charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
A motive for the murder is still unknown and authorities are currently holding an investigation.
