Steris Corp. (STE) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.70 Tuesday morning, up from $0.60 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.65. Full year 2014 adjusted EPS is expected to be between $2.47 and $2.60. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.49.
Steris gapped open higher Tuesday and spiked to the upside in early trade, before settling into a range. The stock ended the day higher by 3.51 at $44.97, with volume at a 9-month high. Steris rose above over a 1-month range and set a new high for the year.
