Fossil Inc. (FOSL) reported first quarter net income of $1.21 per share Tuesday morning, up from $0.93 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.97. The company expects to report second quarter EPS of $0.89 to $0.94 and between $6.00 and $6.26 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $1.05 and $6.11.
Fossil gapped open sharply higher Tuesday, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock ended the day with a gain of 8.92 at $107.88 on above average volume. Fossil climbed to nearly a 3-month high.
