After-market Movers For May 7 (DIS, WFM, PSE, EA, WBMD, RBCN, VCLK, CIE)

Gainers:

Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFM) rose 8 percent to $100.46. The company's second quarter earnings increased from the year-ago quarter and topped analysts' estimate. Sales for the quarter increased 13 percent and matched the consensus estimate. The company raised its fiscal year 2013 earnings outlook and also approved a two-for-one stock split.

Pioneer Southwest Energy Partners L.P.'s (PSE) jumped 19 percent to $31.10. Pioneer Natural Resources Co. (PXD) announced that it has submitted a proposal to purchase all of PSE's outstanding publicly-held units through a stock-for-unit exchange.

Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) gained 7 percent to $19.83. The company's fourth quarter profit declined from the prior year period and its adjusted earnings per share missed Wall Street view. Total revenues for the quarter declined, while adjusted total revenues improved from the year-ago quarter and matched the consensus estimate. The company provided a weak first quarter outlook. Meanwhile, the company forecast full year 2014 adjusted earnings above analysts' estimate, but revenue below consensus.

WebMD Health Corp. (WBMD) improved 15 percent to $29.50. The company's first quarter net loss narrowed from the prior year period. Revenues improved and were above analysts' expectation. The company also raised its fiscal 2013 outlook.

Decliners:

Walt Disney Co. (DIS) was down 1 percent to $65.30. The company's second quarter profit and revenue improved from the prior year period and were above Wall Street view.

Rubicon Technology, Inc. (RBCN) fell 16 percent to $5.98. The company's first quarter net loss slightly widened from the prior year period on lower revenue. The company noted that weaker six-inch sales and resulting lower utilization of operations resulted in additional pressure on margins in the period. In addition, the company expects second quarter demand for large-diameter products to be very light, making for a challenging quarter.

ValueClick, Inc. (VCLK) declined 14 percent to $27.31. The company's first quarter earnings improved from the year-ago quarter and topped analysts' projection. Meanwhile, the company guided its second quarter results below analysts' expectations.

Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (CIE) declined over 6 percent to $26.85 following the news about a public offering of 50 million shares by selling stockholders that are affiliates of First Reserve, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Riverstone Holdings LLC, The Carlyle Group, and KERN Partners Ltd.
