Two Harbors Investment Corp. (TWO), a real estate investment trust, Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $143.7 million or $0.47 per share, up from $51.8 million or $0.28 per share last year.
Core earnings for the three-month period increased to $89.7 million or $0.29 per share from $63.8 million or $0.34 per share last year.
Net interest income for the quarter rose to $111.0 million from $74.0 million last year.
