SandRidge Energy, Inc. (SD) Tuesday said first-quarter loss widened to $493 million or $1.03 per share from $232 million or $0.58 per share in the same period last year.
On an adjusted per-share basis, earnings were breakeven. On average, 23 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.06 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues totaled $511.69 million, up from $381.64 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $478.99 million.
