Industrial production in Turkey increased for a third consecutive month in March, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute revealed Wednesday.
On a calendar adjusted basis, production rose 1.4 percent year-on-year in March. However, this was weaker than a 4.3 percent increase in February and 2 percent growth in January.
At the same time, on a seasonally and calender adjusted basis, production declined 0.9 percent from the previous month.
Compared with March 2012, mining and quarrying decreased 2.6 percent, manufacturing increased 2.5 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index fell 4 percent.
