Denmark's merchandise trade surplus increased notably from the previous month in March as exports increased and imports dropped, Statistics Denmark showed Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted trade surplus, excluding ships and aircraft, increased to DKK4.4 billion in March from DKK3.7 billion in February.
Export of goods increased 0.6 percent sequentially to DKK50.6 billion. Year-on-year, shipments advanced by 2 percent.
The value of imports, meanwhile, decreased 0.8 percent month-on-month to DKK46.2 billion. Compared to March 2012, arrivals climbed 7.3 percent.
