Microsoft Names Amy Hood As New CFO - Quick Facts

Software giant Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), on Wednesday announced the appointment of Amy Hood as its new chief financial officer, effective immediately, replacing Peter Klein, who is set to leave by the end of June.

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's chief executive stated, "She has been an instrumental leader in the Microsoft Business Division or MBD, helping lead the transition to services with Office 365 and delivering strong financial and operational management throughout her time on the business."

Hood, who joined Microsoft in December 2002, most recently served as the CFO of MBD. Hood has worked with Goldman Sachs in various roles, including the likes of investment banking and capital markets groups.
