Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. (SXL) Wednesday reported first-quarter profit of $142 million, up from $97 million in the same period last year.
Net income attributable to partners increased to $140 million or $1.09 per unit from $95 million or $0.77 per unit last year.
On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.82 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues totaled $3.51 billion, up from $3.41 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $3.56 billion.
