India-based information and communications technology firm HCL Infosystems Ltd. reported sand-alone net loss/profit and income for the fourth-quarter.
Stand-alone Results
The company posted third-quarter stand-alone net loss of Rs.14.96 crore or Re.0.67 per share, while the company reported a net profit of Rs.20.02 crore or Re.0.90 per share reported in the third-quarter of last year.
In the quarter under review, the New Delhi-based company's net income was Rs.1,869.84 crore, while it was Rs.2,496.16 crore for the same period last year, "Other Operating Income" for the quarter stood at Rs.0.89 crore, whereas the same was at f Rs.5.55 crore in the year-ago quarter.
For the nine months, HCL Infosystems posted stand-alone net loss of Rs.41.09 crore, compared with a net profit of Rs.45.30 crore in the corresponding period in 2012. Total income, including other operating income, totaled Rs.6,681.28 crore, while the company posted Rs.7,756.44 crore for the comparable period a year ago.
Results included included the income and profit before tax of the Transferred Undertakings for the quarter/nine months ended March 31 this year and preceding quarter. Prior year/period comparatives for the quarter/nine months ended March 31, 2012 and year ended June 30, 2012 are not disclosed as it is impracticable to compute strictly comparable numbers, the company said.
At the BSE, shares of HCL Infosystems shares are currently trading at Rs.36.40, down 2.80 percent from the previous close.
