Paladin Energy Ltd. (PDN.TO) Tuesday said third-quarter net loss after tax attributable to members of the parent widened to $54.1 million from $17.5 million.
Due to continued uranium price weakness, the company recorded an impairment expense of
$44.8 million at Kayelekera for the just concluded quarter.
Revenue for the quarter surged to $106.4 million from last year's $67.8 million.
Quarterly combined production was 1.992Mlb U3O8, up 12 percent from last year, achieving 95 percent of nameplate production for the quarter.
Further, the company said its fiscal 2013 production guidance of 8.0 - 8.5Mlb U3O8 remains on target.
Paladin added that strategic initiatives to unlock value from some of its assets have advanced with keen interest and final bids being assessed. Results are expected during the June quarter.
