PDI Inc. (PDII) reported first quarter net income of $0.14 per share after the close Monday, compared to the loss of $0.02 per share a year ago. The consensus estimate was for a loss of $0.11.
PDI gapped open sharply higher Tuesday and is now up 1.56 at $5.62 on the highest volume in nearly 11 months. The stock has surged to a month and a half high and has re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
