Japan is on Thursday scheduled to release preliminary gross domestic product figures for the first quarter of 2013, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic news.
GDP is expected to add 0.7 percent on quarter and 2.7 percent on year after a flat reading on quarter and a 0.2 percent gain on year in the previous three months.
Japan also will see final March figures for industrial production, with little change expected from the preliminary reading for a 0.2 percent gain on month and a 7.3 percent contraction on year.
