European Economics Preview: Eurozone Foreign Trade Data Due

Foreign trade and final inflation figures are due from euro area on Thursday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, the Czech Statistical Office is scheduled to release producer prices for April. Producer price inflation is forecast to slow to 0.9 percent from 1 percent in March. In the meantime, Slovakia's harmonized inflation figures are due.

At 4.00 am ET, Statistics Norway is set to issue quarterly national accounts. The mainland-Norway is expected to grow 0.8 percent sequentially in the fourth quarter after rising 0.3 percent in the previous quarter. In the meantime, Italy's foreign trade data is due.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurozone trade figures are due. Economists forecast the trade surplus to remain at seasonally adjusted EUR 12 billion in March. Final inflation data is also due. Inflation is expected to match the flash estimate of 1.2 percent in April.
