Taiwan based semi conductor company ChipMOS Technologies (Bermuda) LTD. (IMOS), Thursday reported a net income of $12.2 million compared with a net loss of $5.7 million during the corresponding period last year. The result for the year reflects higher revenues and lower expenses.
On a per share basis, the company reported earnings of $0.41, compared with loss of $0.21 in the same period of previous year.
Net revenue for the three-month period was $148.3 million, an increase from prior year's $147.1 million.
The Company expects revenue for second quarter to increase by approximately 10 percent to 14 percent, as compared to the first quarter.The Company expects gross margin, on a consolidated basis, to be in the range of approximately 14 percent to 18 percent for the second quarter of 2013. Common shares at the end of the second quarter of 2013 are expected to be approximately 29 million.
