Dollar Resumes Downtrend After Philly Fed's Business Outlook Survey Results

Philadelphia Federal Reserve's business outlook survey results showed that business conditions fell to 5.2 percent in May. The consensus expectations called for an increase in the business conditions index to 2.2 in May compared to 1.3 in April.

The US dollar edged lower against its major counterparts after the data. As of 10:03 am ET, the greenback was trading at 0.9594 against the Swiss franc, 1.2924 against the euro, 102.18 against the yen and 1.5294 against the pound.
