Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.51 after the bell Wednesday, up from $0.48 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.49.
Cisco Systems gapped open sharply higher Thursday and posted gains in early trade, before settling into a range. Shares finished up by 2.68 at $23.89 on the highest volume of the year. The stock broke out past resistance and set a new high for the year.
