The Chandigarh-based Venus Remedies Ltd. posted fourth-quarter net profit of Rs.11.95 crore, compared with Rs.15.56 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting a 23 percent decline.
Its quarterly net income from operations grew by ten percent to Rs.125.03 crore from the Rs.113.47 crore in the year-ago quarter, while other income was Rs.0.29 crore, compared with Rs.1.22 crore for the same period last year.
For the fiscal year, the company posted stand-alone net profit of Rs.57.15 crore, higher by 14 percent than the Rs.50.03 crore last year. Net income from operations amounted to Rs.459.10 crore, up by 14 percent from the Rs.401.65 crore in 2012, while other operating income was Rs.2.24 crore, compared with Rs.3.53 crore a year-ago.
At the BSE, Venus Remedies shares are currently trading at Rs.321.35, down 3.27 percent from the previous close.
