Ravi Narain Joins IndoStar Capital Finance

The National Stock Exchange's longest serving Managing Director Ravi Narain has joined IndoStar Capital Finance, a non-banking financial company, as an independent director, reports said.

Ravi Narain, now in a non-executive position as vice chairman of NSE, is to be a part of the board of IndoStar Capital Finance, according to a release from the NBFC.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company Vimal Bhandari said "Ravis extensive experience will be invaluable as the company implements its growth plans. His counsel and advice will guide the company in the years to come. We are proud to welcome an institution builder like Ravi on our Board."

IndoStar was started in 2011 and provides debt solutions to corporate clients. The company's services include financing capital market transactions, corporate financing, acquisition financing and lending to offshore investors.

The company's asset book is over Rs.1,700 crore and comprises of a high-quality diversified portfolio. IndoStar Capital has leading global private equity firms as its sponsors, including Goldman Sachs, Everstone and Ashmore, the release added.
