A Florida police officer is facing battery charges after he allegedly fought a man who cut him off in traffic.
The incident was all caught on tape after Jerry Monroe, 41, who was off duty at the time, was cut off by another driver. The Orlando Sentinel reports, the driver changed lanes, passing too quickly in front of Monroe and failing to signal.
Monroe followed the car to a parking lot where road rage got the best of the officer. According to witnesses, Monroe allegedly started yelling at operator Andy Jones, and then pushed him into his car.
Surveillance footage captured the fist fight on tape subsequently showing two men come out to break up the fight. The fight was broken up by another motorist and a pizza parlor employee, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Monroe who has been with the police department since August 2000, has been placed in paid leave during the investigation.
