Many of the UK's biggest Internet service providers have blocked several website accused of pirating movies and music. The sites, including Movie2K and Download4All, were specifically targeted by Britain's Motion Picture Association (MPA), according to the BBC.
The blocks come after UK courts ruled in favor of the MPA, stating that major ISP would be required to hold the sites back from their servers. It follows a ruling earlier this year in favor of the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), which got sites including Kickass Torrents, H33T and Fenopy blocked.
It may only be a temporary measure, however, as the BBC notes some pro-piracy advocates have already setup mirror sites of both Movie2K and Download4All. The BPI has vowed to continue fighting piracy, however, and have reportedly drafted a list of another 25 or more sites they believe guilty of piracy, the BBC adds.
