JSW Steel Apr Crude Steel Production Dips By 11%

During the month, Rolled products-flat production was 4.55 million tonnes, lower by 13 percent than the 5.25 million tones in April last year, while Rolled products-long was 1.28 million tonnes, compared with 1.55 million tonnes in April 2012, reflecting a 17 percent decline.

The company said the availability of quality iron ore in sufficient quantities remained a challenge, impacting the production and capacity utilization.
