An explosion in Vancouver on Wednesday resulting from a leaking acetylene tank stored in a car has reportedly not left anyone injured.
CBC News reports that shortly before 7:00 A.M., witnesses heard a large explosion that resulted in glass and other debris covering areas nearby, and also shattered glass of nearby apartment buildings.
"There was this earth-shattering explosion and I heard some glasses breaking that made me jump out of my bed," said Salman Kabir, a man staying in an apartment above the explosion. "And I looked out and basically saw that car with a lot of fire. So it was an exploded car. At first I wasn't sure what was going on cause I was in shock."
Vancouver police reported that the vehicle was parked and had no occupants inside at the time of the explosion. No injuries were reported. The incident is still being investigated.
