Bristow Group Inc. (BRS) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $40.4 million or $1.11 per share, compared to $14.2 million or $0.39 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the fourth quarter was $36.7 million or $1.01 per share, compared to $44.6 million or $1.22 per share in the prior year quarter.
Operating revenue for the fourth quarter rose10% to $350.7 million from $318.7 million a year ago. Gross revenue for the quarter increased to $391.54 million from $358.37 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.02 per share on revenue of $389.56 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Looking forward, the company forecast fiscal year 2014 adjusted earnings of $4.20 to $4.50 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $4.47 per share for the fiscal year 2014.
