Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $0.87 after the bell Wednesday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.81. The company expects to report third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.84 to $0.87 and between $3.50 and $3.60 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.84 and $3.49.
Hewlett-Packard gapped up sharply Thursday and is currently higher by 1.69 at $22.92 in early trade. The stock has risen to over a month and a half high and is approaching the highs of the year, around $24.00 per share.
