Bomb Threat Reported At High School In Ohio

Following a bomb threat on Wednesday, schools in Xenia, Ohio were on a two hour delay for Thursday so that school administrators can make sure that there is no bomb located in Xenia High School.

Local television station WDNT reports that a threat was found written on the back of a bathroom stall door in the girls' restroom on Wednesday that outlined a specific threat for Thursday.

Since the threat was discovered, staff and police have been investigating and say they will do a search of the high school before classes on Thursday.

The school district released a statement on Wednesday, which read:

"Teachers and administration will have a strong presence in the hallways during the day to assure the safety of the students and staff. The building has already undergone additional safety measures that will support tomorrow's effort. All doors remain locked throughout each school day. The building may be accessed by visitors through the main door only. Security cameras in all areas of the building are monitored continuously. Hall passes will only be used by students on an emergency basis."

All schools in the district were put on a two hour delay to accommodate buses and other transportation.
