Canadian Police Investigating Theft Of Stuffed Wolves, Lynx From Business

Authorities in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, are looking into a robbery of a taxidermist. Thieves made off with two stuffed wolves, a stuffed wolverine and a stuffed lynx, reports the CBC.

Also taken from the Kam Lake area business were a polar bear skin, a black bear skin and a gun safe containing two old rifles.

"We're working on the impression that whoever did break into the house probably knew it was there to begin with, so we're hoping to get some information in the investigation in that regard," staff sergeant Brad Kaeding with Yellowknife Royal Canadian Mounted Police told HQ Yellowknife.

Kaeding reminded local residents and business owners that locking their doors goes a long way to preventing such break-ins.

The owners of the business were out of town at the time of the robbery.
