D.C. Teen Charged With Hitting School Bus

A teenager from Prince George's County, Md., was charged Thursday with carjacking and leading police on a chase and then crashing into a school bus, the Washington Post is reporting.

Malik Hasaam Wilkins, 17, was charged as an adult with armed carjacking, fleeing and eluding, and a weapons violation.

According to police, two masked men carjacked a Mercedes using handguns and refused to stop when police tried to pull them over.

The driver of the stolen Mercedes then led police on a chase for about a mile through D.C.

The driver then lost control of the vehicle, hitting another vehicle and then a school bus.

Two people on the bus were injured along with a pregnant woman and teenager in the other vehicle.

Wilkins, the driver, was taken into custody but the other carjacker has not been caught, The Examiner is reporting.
