Finland's retail sales increased from last year in April, preliminary data released by Statistics Finland showed Friday.
The value of retail sales increased 2 percent on an annual basis in April. At the same time, daily consumer goods trade advanced 0.4 percent from a year earlier.
Sales, in volume terms, increased 0.4 percent compared to April 2012. Meanwhile, there was a 3.6 percent year-on-year decrease in the volume of trade in daily consumer goods.
During the four months ended April, the value of trade in the retail sector, advanced 1 percent from the same period a year earlier. The volume of sales, meanwhile, decreased by 0.4 percent.
