Angel Diaz, a Poinciana, Florida man, was arrested after detectives saw him rob a Target store in Kissimmee. Diaz fled to a nearby TGI Fridays after the robbery, telling workers there that he was in "big trouble," reports the Orlando Sentinel.
Diaz allegedly busted into a closed Target early in the morning, scooped up about $9,000 in electronics, dropped them in his trunk and sped off. He managed to lose detectives, who watched the whole thing go down, eventually stopping at the restaurant.
He told the hostess that the police were looking for him, prompting another worker to flag down the police. He was arrested there and taken to jail.
Detectives caught up with the 29-year-old at the scene and charged him with unoccupied burglary, criminal mischief, grand theft, possession of burglary tools, resisting arrest without violence, fleeing and eluding and reckless driving, according to Around Osceola.
