International Airlines Group (IAG.L) reported that its traffic in May 2013 increased 7.4% from May 2012, on a capacity increase of 6.3%.
The Group's traffic, or revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), rose 7.4 percent in May to 16.12 billion RPK from 15.00 billion RPK in the same month a year ago.
Group capacity measured in Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) for the month was up 6.3 percent at 20.28 billion ASK, compared to 19.09 billion ASK last year.
Passenger load factor in May improved 0.9 points to 79.5 percent from 78.6 percent in the prior year.
The airline carried a total of 6.18 million passengers in May, up 28.6 percent from last year's 4.81 million passengers.
The Group performance comprised British Airways, Iberia (including Iberia Express) and Vueling.
