Cooper Companies Inc. (COO) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $1.50 after the bell Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $1.38. The commpany also increased its full year 2013 adjusted EPS forecast to between $6.15 and $6.25, from prior expectations of $5.95 to $6.10. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $6.05.
Cooper Companies gapped open sharply higher Friday and is now up 5.34 at $118.47. The stock has broken out of a 1-month range and has set a new high for the year.
