Cooper Companies Inc. (COO) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $1.50 after the bell Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $1.38. The company also increased its full year 2013 adjusted EPS forecast to between $6.15 and $6.25, from prior expectations of $5.95 to $6.10. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $6.05.
Cooper Companies gapped up sharply Friday and climbed during the first hour of trade. The stock ended the day with a gain of 6.87 at $120.00 on above average volume and broke out to a new high for the year.
