Greece Industrial Production Declines Further

Greece's industrial production continued to decline in April, data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority revealed on Monday.

The industrial production index fell a working-day adjusted 1.8 percent year-on-year, after dropping 1.1 percent in March. Production has been falling since November last year.

Manufacturing production decreased 0.6 percent, while the mining and quarrying output shrunk 12.8 percent. Electricity production declined by 3.3 percent. Meanwhile, water supply production increased by 3.1 percent.

Month-on-month, industrial production declined 2.2 percent in April, after a 5.4 percent rise in March.
