Consumer prices in Greece declined annually for the third consecutive month in May, data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed on Monday.
The EU inflation measure known as the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) fell 0.3 percent year-on-year, after a 0.6 percent decline in April. Prices decreased 0.2 percent in March.
On a monthly basis, the HICP was flat in May, after a 0.5 percent rise in the previous month.
The consumer price index (CPI) also declined for a third month in May, down 0.4 percent annually, after a 0.6 percent fall in April. Month-on-month, prices dropped 0.2 percent, after rising 0.5 percent in April.
