United Airlines, a unit of United Continental Holdings, Inc. (UAL), said Monday that its May consolidated traffic fell 0.8% year-over-year to 17.9 billion revenue passenger miles, while its capacity for the month fell 1.7% to 21.2 billion available seat miles.
As a results, United's consolidated load factor for May 2013 increased 0.8 points to 84.4% from 83.6% in May 2012.
United's May 2013 consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile is estimated to be between flat and down 1.0% compared to May 2012.
