Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. (SWHC) shares rose more than 5% in extended hours trading after the firearms maker reported preliminary fourth quarter results that came in above analysts' current consensus estimates. The company also announced a new $100 million stock buyback program.
Shares of Franklin Resources, Inc. (BEN) gained more than 1% in late trading after the investment management firm said its Board of Directors has declared a 3-for-1 split of the common stock, to be paid in the form of a stock dividend. The company also said its president and CEO Gregory E. Johnson will assume the additional role of chairman of the company's board.
