Sweden's unemployment rate came in below economists' forecast in May, the latest data from the Public Employment Service showed Friday.
The unemployment rate was 4 percent in May compared with forecast of 4.1 percent. The agency reported a jobless rate of 4.3 percent for April.
The number of registered unemployed persons in May totaled 24,273, compared with 23,897 registered last year. As many as 63,058 new vacancies were reported during the month, the agency said.
