Slovakia's inflation, as measured by the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP), rose marginally in May, the latest data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday.
The rate of inflation rose to 1.8 percent in May from 1.7 percent in April. On a monthly basis, the HICP rose 0.1 percent.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 4.2 percent year-on-year in May. Clothing and footwear prices increased 0.5 percent.
Utility costs rose 0.4 percent annually, while transport prices fell 1.4 percent.
