Time Warner Cable (TWC) broke out to the upside late Friday morning and extended its gains going into the close. The stock finished higher by 7.78 at $103.93, with volume at a 4 1/2 month high.
Time Warner Cable broke out past resistance and set a new high for the year. Charter Communications (CHTR) reportedly discussed the idea of a merger of equals with Time Warner Cable a few weeks ago.
