Swedish telecommunications firm TeliaSonera AB (TLSNY.PK, 0H6X.L) appointed Johan Dennelind as its President and Chief executive officer. He will take on his new position on September 1 and will be available for the company from July 1, 2013. Per-Arne Blomquist will remain as acting CEO until September 1 and then return to his role as Executive Vice President and CFO of TeliaSonera.
Johan Dennelind has extensive experience from various positions within the telecommunication industry, most recently having served as CEO of Vodacom International, based in South Africa.
The recruitment process has been the Board of Directors' highest priority and led by the Remuneration Committee consisting of Chairman Marie Ehrling, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo and Mats Jansson, the Group said.
